Quezon became familiar to me since I was just a little kid because we used to travel back and forth to our province which is Bicol. If you're gonna travel to Bicol via land, you'll surely passed by Quezon. But I never had a chance to explore around. On my recent trip, we decided to go to Borawan which is located somewhere in Quezon. So on our way home, we decided to tour around Quezon..
First Stop: Just a few photo opt
We really didn't have enough time to explore more on Quezon since we're heading back to Manila but we don't want to miss the beauty of it's historical Church which is known as Kamay ni Hesus. It is located in Lucban Quezon known for Healing and Pilgrimage Tour.
Impressive Masterpiece
Garden Of Eden; I don't have any idea on how Kamay ni Hesus looks like. The only thing I know is the church itself but I was really astonished by it's beauty and how it was constructed. You'll find Garden of Eden with lots of life size images of Adam and Eve, Animals and even an Arc. I believe that it was developed to remind everyone where we came from and how life started. Close to parables of the old testament. Definitively a brilliant idea!
The Garden is filled with plants, and I felt like a princess.
Behind me is an Arc which is connected to a conference hall. I tried to get it but someone told me that it's only for retreats, and some said it's an accommodation for tourists, so I didn't insist.
Kamay ni Hesus is a Healing Church where healing mass is conducted everyday. It's not Holiday, not even Bisita Iglesia but the place is crowded and you can't blame the crowd because it's really a nice place to visit that's why all ages from all walks of life can be seen here even if you're not a devotee.
It's peaceful and refreshing atmosphere is just perfect. I also noticed that there's also a lot of Healing oils available around. If I'm not mistaken, a small bottle costs 200 pesos. I was supposed to buy one but for some reason I was so destructed and headed up to the statue.
On your way up, you will see the story of the Way of the Cross with life size statues of Jesus.
There you'll see how we tried our very best to reach the top where you can see the giant image of Jesus Christ.
We had to endure the pain and we need to recharge so we rested for awhile
Almost there
Our original game plan was to count the number of steps so we won't get tired. Unfortunately, it only happened for few steps and forgot the number of steps we took. One thing is for sure, it's more than 300 plus steps.
I am not a devotee but I'm a believer. My short trip on this sacred place gave me so much hope in life. This served as a renewal of my faith and it made me realize that life is really beautiful. I admire how this place was constructed, a solemn place that creates miracle. I don't know if it's coincident, but after we visited Kamay ni Hesus ( which was supposed to be a team building turned into field trip), my boyfriend's team performed really well. I guess I have to stick with my faith that this church really creates miracle but it all depends on how we worked on it.
So if you're travelling around, it won't hurt if you try to visit this place. I can guarantee that it's worth it!
